Dear CPU Scorekeeper

I'm considering the Athlon 550 and the Athlon 600.

Is the 600 worth it at almost $150 more?

As shown on our CPU Comparator, the faster Athlon is less than even 10% faster, fairly matching the clock speed difference. However, at the going system rate of approximately US$1500 for the Athlon-550, the difference in speed would actually correspond to the difference in price you have found.

Is the price premium worth the increased speed? Your price difference would suggest that is--

So if your budget can bear it, go for it! You will only be able to Quake 10% more Berserks in the same amount of time!
